post-run bbq run
After my run on Sunday evening had to boogie on down to Lockhart for a little Chisholm Trail BBQ. Family Deal = 1 lb of beef and 2 rings of sausage, 3 sides (1 pt. each), bread, sauce, and to top it all off a la BT, a side of cobbler and a DP. I'll be eating bbq the rest of the week thank-you-very-much. Still haven't dived into the cobbler, but then that's for a mid-week emergency.
As far as I'm concerned Chisholm Trail beats Kreuz's any day. It's where the locals go, it's warm and cozy, good, inexpensive, and friendly. And it has a drive through. Just ike the DQ :).

when in giddings . . . .
Be sure to hit the Chihuahua Taqueria. Super cheap, super good. It's a stand in line and order kinda place. You see all the trucks (Budweiser, Blue Bell Ice Cream and truck drivers) parked out front. Long line, every mix and kind of person. Great stuff.The City Meat Market is FANTASTIC too - just didn't get a photo.
